Admit Card — Detailed Overview
The admit card (also called a call letter or hall ticket) is the mandatory document for entry to the exam centre; without it, even if you applied and are eligible, you will not be allowed to sit the exam. It is usually released 7-15 days before the exam through candidate login on the recruiting authority's official website. No authority sends admit cards by email or post, so you must download it from the portal yourself. As soon as you download it, first verify your name, roll number, photograph, exam date, shift timing and centre address, and report any discrepancy to the helpdesk immediately.

Release timing
The admit card is typically released 1-2 weeks before the exam; sometimes it can be delayed because of last-moment technical or legal issues.
Name mismatch risk
If the name on the admit card does not match your photo ID, entry can be denied. Contact the official helpdesk immediately to get it corrected.
Reporting time
The reporting time on the admit card is earlier than the actual exam start time. Late entry is not allowed even if the exam has not yet begun.
Prohibited items

What if the admit card will not download?
The site often slows down because of last-minute traffic and server load, so try again after a while or at off-peak hours. If you have forgotten your registration number or password, use the 'Forgot Credentials' option.
What if the photo on the admit card is blurry or wrong?
Immediately file a complaint on the recruiting authority's helpdesk or grievance portal and request a correction before the exam. It is hard to resolve this on exam day.
Is a soft copy of the admit card on my mobile accepted?
Most exams make a printed copy mandatory. Some modern exams also allow QR-code based digital verification, but this must be mentioned in the notification; by default, carry a printed copy.
